Ride Group Summary
A Group – Advance Riders Group Speed: 19+ mph Group Distance: 35+ miles This is a drop ride, which means if you cannot maintain the pace, you will be left. The A group strives to maintain a very high level of fitness and endurance. The normal speed of the rides generally falls between a 19 and 22 average, which means at times cruising speed may reach up to 23-27 mph (without a tailwind or descent). This ride is intense training rides with the occasional heavy sprint.  B Group – Intermediate Riders Group Speed: 17-19 mph Group Distance: 30-35+ miles This ride pace is about 17-19 mph. This group will provide riders the opportunity to develop and practice pace line riding techniques and skills at above moderate speeds and distances that benefit the whole group. Cruising speeds run from 19 to 22 mph on the flat terrains. Although considered a friendly, no drop ride; this ride is not slow. Use caution before attempting this group.  C Group - Friendly Riders Group Speed: 14-16 mph Group Distance: 20-25 miles C group is mainly a touring ride group, some pace lining, but no racing. This group is designated to riding with the idea of having fun and getting some exercise, and enjoying companionship and scenery. The pace is generally 16 mph and varies with the terrain and what there is to see on the ride. Definitely not a ride for the impatient or hurried, so leave your ego at home. Courtesy and respect are the watch words for this group.
